Tummy Time and Beyond is a wonderful Parent and Child workshop which offers helpful tips to encourage tummy time, learn other important play positions to foster acquisition of motor milestones and build upon parent-child bond! Motor Milestones Workshop will introduce developmental milestones and teach some fun activities to motivate and engage your child, fostering healthy development and promoting acquisition of motor milestones. We offer two motor milestone workshops, depending on the child’s age and skills. One workshop will include children 0-6 months, or children who are not yet able to sit independently, another workshop is offered for children 7-12 months, or children who are able to sit independently.
Torticollis Treatment is a helpful Parent and Child workshop that will help address concerns regarding Torticollis and Plagiocephaly. Discussing the basics of each diagnosis and techniques to encourage active head control, range of motion, and symmetry.
In addition to addressing the underlying cause of your child’s torticollis we will also focus on important play positions to foster acquisition of motor milestones, in order to support baby’s overall development! Sitting 101 is a great Parent and Child workshop focusing on teaching your child the skills needed to be an independent sitter! We will explore tools to encourage transitioning in and out of sitting, activities to build static and dynamic sitting balance, and exercises to address trunk strength! We will also learn other important play positions, transitional movements and activity ideas to foster acquisition of motor milestones, and build upon parent-child bond.
Standing 101 is a wonderful Parent and Child workshop which focuses on teaching children the skills needed to stand independently! We will learn tools to encourage transitioning in and out of standing, activities to build static and dynamic standing balance, and strategies to prepare for walking!
